Position Summary
The Marketing and Communication Coordinator coordinates, develops and implements the marketing and communications efforts of the organization for both internally and externally. This position works closely with department and provider leaders to provide marketing and communications services helping to ensure the growth and maintenance of its customers and service lines. Primary functions include develops, writes, maintains and edits strategic marketing materials, which include the district’s website, newsletters, brochures, presentations, video scripts, web pages, advertisements and social media accounts, to attract and grow the district’s patient base. Assists HR to attract, recruit and retain high quality employees through a strong internal communications program. Ensures all marketing materials are well-developed in brand strategy with respect to quality, consistency, cost and timing. Participates in community activities that are related to or necessary for representation of the organization. Develops and works campaigns and events. Performs in-person outreach to attract patients through one-on-one interaction and group events as well as works independently and collaboratively to manage special projects for the organization.

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, Some weekends and holidays as needed, flexible work schedule potential.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum two to four years’ experience in the healthcare field preferred or a professional office setting
- Prefer experience in communication and marketing setting with graphic design and layout
- Proficient in all aspects of computer work including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe products and the ability to adapt and quickly learn new technology. Prefer knowledge and expertise of publishing programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Creates, writes, edits, and coordinates needed updates of all East Adams Rural Healthcare marketing materials included but not limited to: brochures, bio cards, employment openings, and other formats of media and promotional materials
- Works in collaboration with committee to develop formats and general design and layout of information with the East Adams Rural Healthcare branding guidelines
- Coordinates the production of advertisements in local media and other sources
- Coordinates and maintains internal and external communications program utilizing a variety of communications platforms
- Maintains the organization’s website by regularly updating and overall management of its content
- Develop and implement a strategic social media campaign that both educates viewers, highlights the district’s accomplishments and employees, and helps recruit potential new employees
- Coordinates photography/videography requests for department and organization
- Participates as an active member of various committees; leads work groups, projects and committees as assigned. Acts as a liaison between community groups and the District; participates in various community groups and events on behalf of the district
- Along with Marketing and Communications Committee, develops marketing plans. Including the development of service-line communication plans to meet strategic business goals
- Coordinates marketing, advertising, and public relations activities for the District. Plans and implements marketing and PR strategies and tactics to support organizational goals and objectives
- Manages multiple nonrecurring and ongoing projects, oftentimes simultaneously, in a team setting or independently, to include event planning and participation, vendor communication, people and material resource organization, research, etc.
- Greets and interacts with all customers in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner promoting high quality, professional customer service and marketing image
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise
